At The Bureau Fashion Week, we understand that your plans and preferences might evolve, which is why we've created a flexible ticket upgrade system. This guide explains everything you need to know about upgrading your Fashion Week tickets to enhance your experience.
Understanding Ticket Upgrades
Ticket upgrades allow you to enhance your Fashion Week experience by moving from a lower-priced ticket to a higher-priced ticket category. This process maintains the value of your original purchase while giving you access to additional benefits and experiences.
Available Upgrade Paths (NYFW September 2026)
For New York Fashion Week, September 11–13, 2026 at Gotham Hall, common upgrade paths include:
- General Admission → Reserved Seating or Front Row VIP — move from open seating to an assigned seat (Rows 2–7) or the front row, 3 feet from the runway
- Single show ticket → Day Pass — upgrade to see every show on your chosen day (GA, VIP, or Room 16 Day Pass)
- Day Pass → Full Event Pass — upgrade to all 11 shows across all 3 days (Ultra VIP, Room 16, or The Ultimate)
You can also add premium experiences at any level — backstage tours, editorial photography sessions, and post-show receptions — as add-ons.
The Upgrade Process
To upgrade your existing ticket, you'll need to:
Step 1: Review Current Ticket
First, log into your Flicket account to view your current ticket type and confirm it's eligible for upgrade. All tickets must be verified before the upgrade process can begin.
Step 2: Explore Available Options
Browse through the available upgrade options for your specific ticket. The system will display only the valid upgrade paths based on your current ticket type.
Step 3: Calculate the Difference
The upgrade cost will be the difference between your current ticket price and the new ticket price. For example, if your current ticket cost $500 and you're upgrading to a $750 ticket, the upgrade fee would be $250.
Step 4: Complete the Upgrade
Process the payment for the price difference, and your ticket will be automatically updated in your Flicket account.
Important Considerations
Downgrade Restrictions
It's important to note that tickets cannot be downgraded to a lower-priced category. This policy exists because:
- Event capacity planning requires stable attendance numbers
- Premium services and amenities are pre-arranged based on ticket types
- It helps maintain the exclusive nature of certain ticket categories
Timing Requirements
Consider these factors when planning your upgrade:
- Upgrades are subject to availability
- Prices rise as the event approaches — upgrading early costs less
- Certain premium tickets (Full Event passes, Room 16) have very limited quantities
- Processing times may vary during peak periods
Payment and Refunds
Understanding the financial aspects:
- Original ticket value is applied to the upgrade
- Only the difference in price needs to be paid
- Original payment method will be credited if applicable
- Afterpay payment plans may be available for significant upgrades
After Your Upgrade
Once your upgrade is complete:
- Your original ticket will be automatically deactivated
- A new ticket will be issued at the higher tier
- Updated access credentials will be sent to your email
- Your Flicket account will reflect the new ticket status
Special Circumstances
Group Bookings
If you're part of a group booking:
- Individual tickets within the group can be upgraded separately
- Group leaders can coordinate upgrades for multiple tickets
- Special arrangements may be needed for shared amenities
VIP and Premium Packages
When upgrading to premium experiences:
- Additional information may be required
- Special access codes might be issued
