What to Wear — LAFW Dress Code
Los Angeles Fashion Week is a celebration of style, creativity, and self-expression. While there is no mandatory dress code, guests are encouraged to dress in a fashion-forward manner that reflects the elevated atmosphere of the event.
Dress Code Guidelines
- Recommended: Fashion-forward, elevated attire that reflects your personal style
- Think: Designer wear, runway-inspired looks, creative and editorial outfits
- Comfortable footwear is advised — the venue involves walking between show spaces, lounges, and activations
VIP & Front Row
If you hold a VIP, Ultra VIP, or Front Row ticket, keep in mind:
- You may be photographed by press, photographers, and other guests
- Front-row guests are often featured in event coverage and social media
- Dress accordingly if you want to make an impression
What to Avoid
- Overly casual attire (athletic wear, flip-flops, beachwear)
- Clothing with offensive or inappropriate graphics or messaging
- Excessively bulky outfits or oversized accessories that may obstruct other guests’ view
Weather Considerations
- LAFW takes place in mid-March in West Hollywood
- Average temperatures: 55–70°F (13–21°C)
- Evenings can be cool — bring a stylish jacket or wrap for outdoor transitions
- Shows are held indoors, but transitions between spaces may include outdoor walkways
Coat Check
Coat check services are available at the venue. We recommend using coat check to keep your hands free and your look sharp during shows.
LAFW is about personal expression — dress to feel confident and enjoy the experience.
