The Sentier is the quarter where Paris's garment trade — textile wholesalers, ateliers, pattern makers — has operated for well over a century. It's a fitting home for a fashion week: the streets around the venue are the industry that made Paris the capital of this business. The 2nd arrondissement is one of the smallest and most central in the city — dense, flat, and walkable in every direction.
